Tom ‘The Hedge’ Brown gets top job at KPMG

KPMG has appointed Tom Brown as UK Head of Investment Management and Funds. He leads a team of 200 professionals based in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Bristol, who provide tax, audit and advisory services to clients who include most of the top 10 global investment managers and top 10 European hedge funds.  Tom is also a member of KPMG’s Global Investment Management and Funds leadership team.

Tom joined KPMG in 1987 with an engineering degree from Cambridge University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990.  He is joint author of the KPMG-CREATE report:  “Hedge funds: a catalyst reshaping global investment” and he works actively with the Investment Management Association and Alternative Investment Management Association on regulatory and other industry issues.
