Allard de Waal joins Paul Hastings in Paris
Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP (Paul Hastings), a leading international law firm, has announced that Allard de Waal, previously at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, will join the firm’s Tax Department, resident in the Paris office. Allard’s practice focuses on tax issues relating to transactional matters, particularly private equity transactions and mergers & acquisitions, and the tax structuring of private equity funds. He brings over 20 years of tax experience to the firm.

Allard is a graduate of HEC, the most prestigious French business school, where he earned magna cum laude honors. He earned his law degree from the University of Paris XI, Sceaux and was admitted to the Paris bar in 1995. His most recent engagements include assisting Goldman Sachs in connection with the restructuring and sale of Autodis, the recapitalization of Eutelsat and the IPO of Legrand. Allard furthermore regularly represents Montagu (ex HSBC) and Vestar on French issues related to their fund structure.
