Carol Fraser sets up CLB’s London tax investigation practice
Carol Fraser has joined accountancy firm CLB Littlejohn Frazer as a Senior Tax Consultant to set up a specialist unit to deal with tax and VAT investigations, appeals and other contentious tax work. Her recruitment brings the number of people in the firm’s tax division to 4 partners and 6 senior consultants.
Carol, who qualified as a barrister in 1985, was previously a senior tax lawyer with solicitors Howard Kennedy. She has significant experience in dealing and negotiating with HM Revenue & Customs, particular with the Serious Civil Investigations Office. She specialises in Corporate Tax, VAT and property-related tax issues (including Stamp Duty Land Tax).
Paul Hopper, Managing Partner of CLB Littlejohn Frazer, said: “Carol’s tax investigation expertise is of a level rarely found outside the Big Four accountancy firms and will be a valuable asset to CLB Littlejohn Frazer. The unit is part of our strategy to provide the highest quality of advice in particular markets – notably to our financial services and AIM listed clients”
