Gavin Bate moves from HMRC to KPMG R&D Tax
Gavin Bate, formerly a senior technical adviser at HMRC has joined KPMG’s Research and Development (R&D) tax relief team.
Prior to joining KPMG, Gavin had a long career at HMRC during which time he worked at various offices including the Large Business Office and the Special Investigations Section. His most recent role was as a senior technical specialist dealing with both R&D tax reliefs and the new corporate intangible assets regime where he was responsible for the design of legislation, the production and content of the HMRC guidance, and for giving advice to colleagues on the handling of the more challenging cases.
