Rotherham new Managing Partner of Grant Thornton in US.
Thomas G. Rotherham, the former ceo and president of RSM McGladrey, Inc., has joined Grant Thornton LLP as the new U.S. managing partner of client service. In this new role, Rotherham will be responsible for implementing the Grant Thornton Experience for Clients. He will also work on expanding the firm’s services and relationships with private equity firms.

Rotherham, who will be based out of the firm’s Chicago office, reports to Shelley Stein, Grant Thornton’s chief operating officer.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Rotherham served as the senior vice president of West Wind Partners, LLC, a private equity fund. He was the ceo and president of RSM McGladrey, Inc., a nationwide accounting firm, where he worked for more than 30 years. Before becoming ceo and president, Rotherham served in various roles at McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, including chief operating officer; chief financial officer; and leader of the national audit and accounting and SEC coordinator.
Rotherham received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, with an emphasis in economics, from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also is a certified public accountant in Minnesota.
