Credit Suisse names Anthony De Chellis as Head of Private Banking
Credit Suisse has announced that Anthony De Chellis will join the firm as Head of Private Banking Americas, effective May 22, 2006. In this newly created role, Mr. De Chellis will lead the growth, development and coordination of the firm’s Private Banking businesses in the Americas. He will be based in New York and report to Walter Berchtold, CEO of Credit Suisse Private Banking.
Mr. De Chellis joins Credit Suisse from UBS where he was Head of the Private Wealth Management division of UBS Wealth Management USA. The Private Wealth Management team at UBS is focused on managing the relationships of UBS’s ultra high-net-worth clients. Prior to joining UBS, Mr. De Chellis spent 15 years at Merrill Lynch in increasingly senior positions. For example, he led the European Private Banking business and was also responsible for the Merrill Lynch Family Office Group. In his career at Merrill Lynch, Mr. De Chellis also served as a Board Member of the Merrill Lynch International Private Bank, District Director, Office Complex Manager and Financial Advisor.

Gary A. Neuser, Head of Private Banking USA, and Alexander Siegenthaler, Head of Private Banking North America Offshore, Latin America and Bahamas, will report to Mr. De Chellis. Mr. De Chellis will also report to Brady Dougan, CEO of the Investment Banking division and CEO for the Americas, for regional matters. "I look forward to working with Tony to ensure that we fully leverage the capabilities of the firm in the region to best serve our clients," said Mr. Dougan.
