TaxationWeb acquires TWLO
A web-based directory of UK tax lecturers and writers has been acquired by TaxationWeb.
The Tax Lecturers’ and Writers’ Association (TLWO) showcases lecturers, writers, trainers and commentators. Gerry Hart, a former president of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, founded the TLWO and runs it with co-director Louise Pinfold, a technical writer with LexisNexis.
Hart said many lecturers and writers had received new work via the TLWO, but it was now apparent that the organisation’s aims could not be achieved via a stand alone web-based service. Eighty-one service providers on the database have been informed that the TLWO will be transferred to form part of TaxationWeb’s growing online services.
TaxationWeb director Mark McLaughlin said the transfer of the TLWO service was a sign of TaxationWeb’s growing importance and the respect it had earned within the tax profession. “This is a very useful and worthwhile service and we’re very pleased to be taking it on,” he added.
