Stuart Savage appointed Head of VAT at Deloitte Cambridge
The Cambridge office of Deloitte has also recently appointed Stuart Savage as a director and head of its VAT group.
Mr Savage has been at Deloitte for more than nine years having previously worked at the firms Leeds office, where he occupied the same position.
He has taken over the role from Barney Horn, who has relocated to Deloitte in Birmingham.
As head of the Cambridge VAT group, Mr Savage is in charge of a team of six people, which he is looking to expand further.
Richard Blackwell, partner and head of Deloitte’s tax practice in Cambridge, said: “There has been a period of change for the tax practice, in which we have welcomed a number of new staff in the areas of employment solutions, VAT and research and development.
“In the last six months the employment solutions team, headed by Anthony Bennett, has quadrupled in size from one to four members, demonstrating the current demand for their services from the region’s businesses.
“The new R & D Tax Credits team is an important addition to the practice, which I am particularly excited about as there is massive potential in East Anglia for this specialist service area.”
