BDO Stoy Hayward Thames Valley Office Launches recruitment drive
BDO Stoy Hayward’s Technology Centre of Excellence in Reading is set to embark on a major recruitment drive to increase staff levels by almost 25 per cent over the next 18 months.
The announcement – which will see the number of employees in the Reading office swell from 130 to 150 – comes as the firm’s national interim fees for the six months to 31 December 2005 show a dramatic growth of 25 per cent.
The significant increase is due in part to considerable growth within the firm’s tax, business assurance and corporate finance streams leading to the firm being acknowledged as the ‘UK’s fastest growing accounting firm.’
Andrea Porter, Head of the firm’s Technology Centre of Excellence in Reading, said: “These national figures reflect the increasing recognition of our strength in the market place and this is a key reason for our recruitment drive in Reading.
“The Technology Centre of Excellence will be an integral part of our full service offering and specialist sector expertise which attracts new clients. We are committed to growing our Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) experience and the Centre of Excellence in Reading will be at the forefront of this drive.
“We are committed to bringing high calibre staff on board and I’m confident that our exciting opportunities, client-focused culture and attractive flexible benefits package will help us to reach our recruitment requirements within 18 months.”
Simon Watson, Lead Partner in Reading commented: ”We are delighted with these interim results which show a better than expected growth in fee income. It is particularly pleasing as these figures build on a 21 per cent rise in fee income last year when most firms were seeing more modest growth. The Technology Centre of Excellence is an important growth area for the firm and it will service the needs of our firm’s technology clients from its Reading base.”
