Chiltern hires ex KPMG Tax Partner, David Porter
Chiltern, the UK’s leading independent tax adviser, has recruited David Porter to the position of Director, Corporate Tax.
David has worked in tax for over 15 years and was formerly a tax partner at KPMG in London. He specialises in advising large to medium corporates on UK and international tax issues, including global tax minimisation projects and working with financial institutions on restructuring and insolvency planning.
He has worked for clients in a wide variety of industries, including retail, industrial, power generation, TLT (travel, leisure and tourism) and TMT (technology, media and telecoms) sectors.
Commenting on his appointment, David Porter said:
“I am delighted to be joining Chiltern at what are exciting and challenging times. Corporates are increasingly concerned about the lack of choice in the marketplace at a time when high quality, unconflicted tax advice is needed more than ever. I am really pleased to be able to offer clients this at Chiltern, whose value-for-money full tax service offering is second to none.”
David Pert, Chiltern’s Managing Director, added:
“I am delighted to welcome David to Chiltern where his considerable expertise will complement our growing corporate practice. Both Chiltern and our international Taxand alliance are entering a period of rapid growth and David is the first of a number of senior appointments to be announced over the coming months.”
