Kurland is New VP, Tax for Ingersoll Rand

Ingersoll-Rand Company Limited has announced that Larry Kurland has joined the company as vice president – tax in June 2006. He also has been elected an officer of the company by Ingersoll Rand’s Board of Directors. In his new post, Kurland is responsible for all aspects of tax and the global tax organization and will serve as a key member of the corporate finance team.

Kurland is based at the firm’s corporate offices in Montvale, NJ. He reports to Timothy R. McLevish, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Ingersoll Rand. Kurland joins the company from AT&T Corp., where he worked for 15 years, serving most recently as vice president – taxes and tax counsel.

"Larry Kurland’s strong experience and extensive tax and financial expertise will be a valuable addition to our leadership team as he assumes a broad and instrumental role in the success of our businesses and the overall enterprise," McLevish said. "He has an established track record in leading a global tax organization and a demonstrated ability to manage complex tax and financial transactions. Before joining AT&T, Kurland spent eight years practicing law. During five of those years, he was associated with the firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, in New York, where he was responsible for the tax aspects of a variety of complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, financings, reorganizations, spin-offs and recapitalizations.
