Viera Kucerova appointed Director of PwC Tax and Legal Services in Prague
Viera Kucerova has been appointed Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Tax and Legal Services department. Viera is heading the tax group that is focusing on providing mergers and acquisition advice and transaction structuring for private equity and venture capital houses, financial institutions and multinational groups operating in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.
“Over the last couple of years, we have seen the interest of private equity and venture capital houses in this region increase at a rapid speed. To enhance the quality of tax advice that we provide to our clients within an acquisition, we are consolidating the skills and experience we have in the firm in a team of M&A tax professionals that are supporting our regional offices when advising financial and strategic buyers on deals in their respective territory.
Over the past few months, we have provided tax due diligence and tax structuring advice not only on transactions in the Czech Republic, but also in Poland, Croatia, Romania and other countries in the CEE region. Our clients need highly sophisticated advice; very often within a very short timescale and the past private equity experience is therefore crucial to be able to provide top-quality tax services,” stated Viera Kucerova.
Viera Kucerova joined PricewaterhouseCoopers Prague office in September 2005 after spending four years in the Private Equity M&A Tax group in the London office. Previously, Viera worked as a tax manager in PwC Slovakia.
She has long-standing experience in providing mergers and acquisitions advice and transaction structuring to multinational groups, financial institutions, venture capital and private equity houses. Her experience also includes a variety of special tax projects, including acquisition structuring, inward and outward investments, due diligence and lending operations.
Viera Kucerova graduated from Bratislava University of Economics. She is a Slovak Registered Tax Advisor and Fellow of the UK Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She is fluent in Slovak, Czech, English, French and Russian.
