Brown & Brown’s Former Tax Director re-joins as VP, Acquistions

Mr. Paul A. Vredenburg has joined Brown & Brown, Inc. as Vice President – Acquisitions. In this position, Mr. Vredenburg will focus on acquisition opportunities for the company.

Mr. Vredenburg has spent the majority of his career working with insurance agencies and brokerages in the areas of acquisitions, mergers, perpetuation planning, financial benchmarking and development of organizational best practices. During that time, he has conducted seminars and published articles on agency valuation, merger & acquisition activity and perpetuation of ownership, across the country.

Mr. Vredenburg returns to Brown & Brown, Inc. where he was employed from 2000 to 2003 as Director of Tax and Acquisitions and then as a producer in the company’s Norfolk Virginia office. For the past three years, he has been a Senior Vice President and Shareholder of Marsh, Berry & Company. His prior experience includes serving as a tax manager at Ernst & Young LLP, providing tax consulting services to the Financial Services industry.
