New Finance Director at Hitachi Capital

Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC, the financial services group, is pleased to announce that Robert Douglas Gordon has been appointed to the Board as Group Finance Director, an executive position, with effect from 1 October 2006.

Robert Gordon, aged 44, is currently Managing Director of Hitachi Capital Business Finance (“HCBF”), with considerable experience in leasing, hire purchase and consumer finance. Prior to joining Hitachi Capital in January 2006, Robert held a number of senior management positions at Finova Capital plc, the financial services provider, including Finance Director and latterly, the combined role of Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer.

Robert qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte & Touche.

As previously indicated, Barbara Iversen, the current Group Finance Director, will remain with the Company for a short period of time in order to ensure a thorough handover to Robert.
