Alison arrives from financial services firm Deloitte and will join Grant Thornton on 5 October 2006. She specialises in technology and is a member of both the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England & Wales and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and brings with her over 12 years management experience in audit and tax compliance.

“I am delighted to take up this position and am looking forward to continuing to provide audit and tax advice, and guidance to the senior management of corporate businesses,” says Alison. She adds: “I enjoy the challenge of advising fast-growing small to medium enterprises on financial issues and strategic growth strategies as this is an important industry sector that benefits hugely from sound financial advice.”
Niki Dixon, tax partner at Grant Thornton’s Cambridge office adds: “Alison brings a wealth of experience to the team and we are thrilled to have someone of her calibre join our audit and tax practice. We are experiencing a high rate of growth in our Cambridge practice as local companies and individuals come to recognise our expertise in this area. The addition of Alison will further boost our ability to provide robust advice in all areas of audit and tax.”
