Burr Wolff Names David Hurrell as New Property Tax Regional Vice President, Midwest
Burr Wolff, L.P., a nationwide, full-service provider of state and local tax reduction solutions, announced yesterday that David Hurrell has joined the Company as property tax regional vice president in the Midwest. Hurrell will manage client accounts, recruit top property tax negotiators to his team, and lead business development efforts within his 13-state region, based from the firm’s Cleveland office.

Prior to joining Burr Wolff, Hurrell was a practice leader in Deloitte & Touche’s North Central region, where he led a group of compliance and appeals professionals covering seven states since 2002. He oversaw growth of 25-50 percent each year, and was appointed to Deloitte’s North Central Tax Leadership and National Property Tax Services Steering Committees. He joined Deloitte in 1996, where he served in various leadership roles in the company’s Cleveland and Phoenix offices, following successful stints as a tax manager with The Scott Fetzer Company and Ernst & Whinney in Ohio.

Hurrell is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Cleveland State University, where he earned his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting in 1984. He passed his CPA examination on the first sitting, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. He and his wife, Barbara, have four children.
