Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC (LBMC), one of the largest accounting and business consulting firms in the US South East, has added Sid Pilson to its Tax Division.

“Sid has been a member of the Nashville community for more than 25 years and has built a reputation as a well respected, talented tax advisor. We are excited to have him join our team,” says Jeff Drummonds, Tax Partner in charge of LBMC’s tax practice. “He will be focusing on serving individual clients.”

A veteran of the accounting industry, Pilson was previously a partner with Ernst & Young, LLP, (E&Y) Nashville. After a 36 year career with E&Y, of which 25 years were spent in the Nashville office, Pilson retired from E&Y in June 2006, where he served the firm’s corporate healthcare clients.

Pilson brings to LBMC his individual tax clients along with his staff of three tax professionals. “This is an exciting time in my life,” says Pilson. “Working with individual clients on tax planning, financial and estate planning and helping guide them through to retirement (and beyond) is my passion. I am grateful to E&Y and LBMC for the opportunity to use my years of experience in this profession to do what I enjoy the most in helping others. It is a win-win for all of us. “

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Pilson also holds his Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army and is a past board member of the American Red Cross, The American Cancer Society, the Nashville City Club and the Nashville Estate Planning Council.

Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC, and Affiliates has more than 300 employees, with offices in Nashville (Brentwood) and Knoxville, Tenn. Founded in 1984 as a traditional accounting firm, LBMC has expanded its focus to meet a broad range of financial, human resources and technology needs for its diverse client base. Specific services offered by the LBMC “Family of Companies” include: business and personal tax consulting, investment consulting, professional staffing, technology solutions, health care services, litigation support, business valuations, and mergers and acquisitions. She has earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in economics from the University of Tennessee and the University of Florida. Trader has 12 years of transfer pricing experience, including planning, compliance documentation and a winning record in audit defense.
