MacKrill jumps ship from Ogier to Turcan Connell
Turcan Connell has appointed Alison MacKrill as Managing Director of its International Trust Services office in Guernsey. She moves to the private client firm from Ogier, and her remit is to develop its offshore trust and company formation business.
MacKrill is a senior figure in the field of international finance law. She is a member of The Law Society of England and Wales, the International Bar Association (IBA), the Union Internationale des Avocats and is currently Chairman of the Guernsey branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is currently involved with various STEP International Committee initiatives.
She regularly speaks at conferences for STEP, the Bermuda Bar Association and the IBA. She also writes for a number of professional periodicals and legal publications including Legal Week, Trusts and Estates Practitioner and the Channel Islands Financial Services Handbook.
MacKrill’s first tasks will include increasing the size of the existing team and overseeing an expansion of the firm’s office accommodation.
