Barclays Wealth nabs Colchester from Rothschilds
Barclays Wealth has announced the appointment of Jonathan Colchester as a Director in its London operation. He will report to Richard Green, who heads up the UK Private Banking division.
Colchester joins in December from Rothschilds Private Management where he was a Director with responsibility for developing UK and international business.
He has also worked for Coutts, Credit Suisse and Merill Lynch in a 13 year career in private banking. Before that Jonathan was a successful entrepreneur, running his own businesses.
Mark Kibblewhite, Managing Director of Barclays Wealth, said: “The hire of Jonathan further bolsters the credentials of our UK private banking business. His heritage in the private banking sector and specific expertise in developing new business will be a major asset for us.”
Barclays Wealth has made a number of key appointments since the beginning of the year.
In the UK these include: Gerard Aquilina as Head of International Private Bank; Edward Chadwyck-Healey as Managing Director in the High Net Worth segment of the UK Private Bank; Paul Richardson as Director with responsibility for Sport, Media and Entertainment; Kevin Lecocq, Head of the Product Office; Jeremy Arnold, Head of Wealth Advisory; Brian Cordischi as Head of Investment Management and Farzan Riza, COO across Gerrard UK Private Bank.
International appointments include: Rodney Allen, Head of Wealth Structuring based in Geneva; Soha Nashaat, Head of the Middle East; Jamie Apold, a Senior Private Banker in Geneva; and Vicky Patino, Geneva Sales Director for International Affluent business.
