Jean Downing leaves Deloitte Cardiff for local Newport firm

Jean Downing has joined chartered accountants Kilsby & Williams as senior taxation manager. She joins the Newport-based firm after more than 20 years at Deloitte’s Cardiff offices.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1989, Ms Downing is regarded as one of the most experienced taxation professionals in South Wales.

At Kilsby & Williams, she will work with the firm’s client base which consists solely of privately-owned companies throughout Wales and the West of England.

“It’s an exciting time to join Kilsby & Williams,” she said. “My appointment demonstrates the continued growth of the firm and I’m looking forward to adding my experience, particularly in the property and group sectors, to the existing tax team.

“The nature of the client base is very attractive to me and I anticipate forging strong relationships with both existing and new clients.”
