Tax Man takes the helm as CAO of Cato Corp
The Cato Corporation has announced the promotion of Stuart Uselton to Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer effective November 1, 2006. Mr. Uselton will report to John Cato, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for distribution, loss prevention, internal audit, credit, and risk management. Mr. Uselton has been with Cato since 2000 in the role of Treasurer. From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Uselton was with Tractor Supply Company, Nashville, Tennessee, with his most recent position being Assistant Treasurer. From 1984 through 1992, Mr. Uselton was in the tax practice of Deloitte and Touche in Nashville.

In October the company announced that Reynolds C. Faulkner, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, resigned to pursue other interests. The Company has initiated a search for his replacement but in the interim, Robert Sandler, Senior Vice President and Controller will serve in the role of Principal Financial Officer.
