KPMG UK Profit per Partner now 680,000 pounds

KPMG LLP, the U.K. professional services firm providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services, has reported that turnover in the year to September 30, 2006, rose to Sterling 1,454 million. This represents growth of 14 percent on the previous year (2005: Sterling 1,281 million). Operating profits rose by 19 percent to Sterling 373 million (2005: Sterling 314 million).

In separate votes, KPMG partners in the U.K. and Germany have approved a proposal to merge the two member firms, creating Europe’s largest accountancy firm – with revenues in excess of Sterling 2 billion

KPMG in the U.K. appointed 38 new partners, hired or appointed 153 new directors, and recruited 780 new graduates in the year

Profit per partner increased to Sterling 680,000, an increase of 20 percent on the prior year.
