Mark W. Eidman Joins Ryan & Company as Principal To Lead Expanded Dispute Resolution and Litigation Support Practice.
Ryan & Company, North America’s largest independent state & local tax consulting firm, has announced that Mark W. Eidman has joined the Firm as a Principal. Mr. Eidman will lead the Firm’s Dispute Resolution and Litigation Support group and will oversee the continued expansion of the practice nationally.
Eidman is one of the leading state & local tax attorneys in the U.S., handling cases nationally. He has represented clients in hundreds of administrative appeals and court cases throughout the country, starting with his experience as the Director of Hearings for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He has successfully litigated some of the largest state & local tax cases in the U.S. He has significant experience in a number of taxes at the state & local level, including franchise, income, insurance, motor fuel, motor vehicle, property, sales and use, and severance taxes. Mark has also advised numerous companies in the structuring of transactions and has worked to draft or implement legislation for the airline, financial, leasing, petrochemical, retail, semiconductor, and telecom industries.
Mr. Eidman is a frequent speaker at seminars for industry and practitioners, including the Council on State Taxation, Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and the Tax Executives Institute. He is a graduate of the University of Texas and The University of Texas School of Law.
