Hay Group Names New US Executive Compensation Leader
Hay Group has appointed Irv Becker as head of Executive Compensation for the US, replacing Doug Jensen who has completed his rotation in this position.
Gene Bauer, Managing Director, US said, “Irv brings a wealth of experience in designing and developing reward programs to align executive efforts with the success of their companies. In addition, he is a recognized thought leader in the area of executive compensation.”
“I’d also like to offer a special word of thanks to Doug Jensen who successfully led this group for a number of years. Under Jensen’s leadership, we have significantly grown this practice from any number of metrics…revenues, clients, strategic hires, etc.” Jensen will now focus on business development in the West and will also continue as a key member of the executive compensation network.
Becker has worked extensively with major US corporations in the financial services, heavy industry, chemicals, retail, travel and leisure, aerospace, real estate, and media industries. Prior to joining Hay Group, he was the national practices leader for executive compensation at KPMG. He also headed up the compensation and benefits functions at Goldman Sachs, First USA Bank, The Home Depot, and Young & Rubicam.
Becker received his MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and his BBA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts. He is a CPA in New York State.
