Tax Lawyer, Gregory Bopp, elected to Bracewell & Giuliani’s Executive Committee

Bracewell & Giuliani LLP have announced that partners Gregory M. Bopp and Glenn A. Ballard Jr. have been elected to serve a three-year term on the firm’s executive committee. Mr. Bopp co-chairs the firm’s corporate section while Mr. Ballard is a partner in the firm’s trial practice and current chair of the Houston Bar Association.

Based in Houston, Gregory Bopp is a member of the firm’s corporate and tax practice groups and serves as co-chairman of the corporate practice group. Mr. Bopp represents publicly traded corporations, master limited partnerships (MLPs), financial institutions and private investment funds in a broad range of corporate and tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and financings involving energy related assets and businesses.

A substantial part of Mr. Bopp’s practice includes advising MLPs and investment banks in connection with transactions involving natural gas, crude oil and products pipelines, oil and gas properties, gas gathering and processing assets, terminal facilities, gas storage facilities, retail distribution assets and other energy related assets and businesses. Mr. Bopp also advises MLPs and other clients on capital markets transactions, cross border financings and matters involving energy tax credits.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Bopp worked in the audit and tax practice areas of KPMG.
