Centrica appoints new Group Finance Director
Centrica plc has announced the appointment of Nick Luff as an Executive Director of the Company and its new Group Finance Director. The appointment is effective from 1st March 2007. Nick Luff joins Centrica from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company (“P&O”) where he was Chief Financial Officer prior to its takeover by DP World.
Previously, Mr Luff was the Chief Financial Officer of P&O Princess Cruises plc and has held a number of other senior financial roles at P&O having qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG. He replaces Phil Bentley who, as already announced, moves to become Managing Director of British Gas.
