Grant Thornton US promotes Randy Robason to OMP for Dallas
Grant Thornton LLP has announced the promotion of Randy Robason as Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas office. Robason will transition from the firm’s Charlotte office where he was the Southeast Region Tax Practice Leader.
As the Dallas Office Managing Partner, Robason is responsible for running the Dallas operations, recruiting the best talent, championing the office culture, and ensuring that all services are delivered with personalized attention and the highest quality to clients. He is also a member of Grant Thornton’s Partnership Board, the firm’s governing body that approves the philosophy and direction of the partnership.
Prior to his promotion to Dallas Office Managing Partner, Robason served as the Tax Practice Leader for Grant Thornton’s Southeast Region and was based out of the firm’s Charlotte office. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he had a lengthy career with Arthur Andersen having served as a Fort Worth office managing partner, and the head of all Tax Special Services practices in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
Robason received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Texas. He is also a graduate of Texas Tech University, where he received a Masters in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is licensed to practice accounting and law in North Carolina and Texas. Robason was a co-founder of the Dallas/Fort Worth School of Law, now known as Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
