National Tax Expert Michael Solomon Joins Fenwick & West Tax Group
Fenwick & West LLP has announced that Michael F. Solomon is joining the firm as a partner in the Tax Group. Prior to joining Fenwick & West, Michael was a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop LLP and previously was a partner in the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Washington National Tax Services office and a managing partner of the tax firm Ivins, Phillips & Barker in Washington, D.C.

Michael brings more than 30 years of experience in tax planning and associated business structuring for large U.S. and foreign multinational enterprises. He has also handled significant controversy and litigation matters in judicial and administrative forums at the state and federal levels. Michael teaches tax law as an Adjunct Professor at Boalt Hall Law School at the University of California at Berkeley and previously was an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School. He has also served as an expert witness in corporate tax and structuring matters that are in controversy.
