Two New Partners Appointed at Saffery Champness
Saffery Champness, one of the UK’s top 20 firms of chartered accountants and business advisers, has appointed two new Partners within its London and Bristol offices.
Mark McGarry has been appointed as a Tax Partner within the firm’s London office. A taxation specialist and qualified chartered accountant, Mark joined the firm in 1985. Since then, he has worked in a number in roles and for the past four years has specialised in transactional tax matters, with a twin focus on corporate tax and also direct tax as it affects the not-for-profit sector, one of the firm’s fastest-growing areas of practice.
In addition, Richard Cartwright has been appointed as a Tax Partner within the firm’s Bristol office. A chartered tax adviser, who particularly specialises in private client advisory work, Richard joined Saffery Champness in 2002 following six years at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is one of the firm’s leading private client practitioners operating in the South West of England, with clients in this area including wealthy families, trusts and several landed estates. In addition to advising a portfolio of private clients, Richard also manages the Bristol office’s tax department, which advises many corporate clients and family-owned businesses.
