GRANT THORNTON UK NABS ASHBY AND COSBY FOR ITS EMPLOYER SOLUTIONS TEAM
Grant Thornton UK has strengthened its employer solutions team with the appointment of expatriate tax experts Peter Ashby and Scott Cosby.
Formerly a partner at PWC, Peter joins Grant Thornton as an Expatriate Tax Client Service Director at a time when the firm is experiencing strong growth in both its Employer Solutions service line and as a firm.
Peter is a widely published expert on expatriate tax matters and was commissioned by The Chartered Institute of Taxation to undertake research on expatriate taxation, the results of which appeared recently in Tax Adviser. He is also a member of the CBI Employment Taxes Sub-Committee and has recently been invited to be joint chair of the HMRC Expatriate Tax Forum.
Clive Fathers, leader of the national Employer Solutions team, says, “Grant Thornton’s London Employer Solutions team has experienced growth in excess of 25% year-on-year for the past six years and now contributes significantly to the firm’s fee earnings. Having Peter on board boosts an already strong market offering, considerably so in the area of expatriate tax where Peter is highly regarded.”

The Employer Solutions team also welcomes Scott Cosby who joins Grant Thornton as an expatriate tax senior manger. Scott arrives at Grant Thornton following 10 years at Deloitte and has an enormous amount of expertise in the expatriate area.
