Kevin Brown is acting IRS Commissioner

The IRS has announced that Deputy Commissioner Kevin Brown will become acting IRS commissioner with effect from May 4. He replaces Mark Everson who has resigned to join the Red Cross

He has 25 days in the job, at which point a permanent replacement must be appointed by the White House.
