New LFSI chairman is a tax man
The Leeds Financial Services Initiative (LFSI) has appointed Kevin O’Connor, the office managing partner of Baker Tilly in Leeds, as its chairman. Kevin succeeds Patrick Walton of Yorkshire Bank who steps down after holding the role for the normal two year tenure.
Kevin has been an active LFSI member since 2000 and a member of the steering group since 2003.He has also been a member of the LFSI membership task group. A chartered tax accountant, Kevin is also a trustee of Leeds Community Foundation.
Kevin O’Connor originates from London and has an economics degree from Newcastle University. He trained and qualified in London and having spent nine years in Newcastle he moved to Leeds with KPMG in 1997. In 1999 he joined HLB Kidsons as tax partner and in 2002 he became office managing partner in Leeds upon the merger of Kidsons with Baker Tilly.
