Viacom names Jay Kushner as Senior VP of Global Taxation & Treasury
Viacom Inc. has just announced the appointment of Jay Kushner to a newly created position of Senior Vice President of Global Taxation and Treasury. In this new role, Mr. Kushner will be responsible for the worldwide tax and treasury affairs of Viacom and its subsidiaries. He will report to Thomas Dooley, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Viacom.

We are thrilled that we have someone as capable as Jay to take on this important responsibility.”
Under the new structure, Viacom’s Senior Vice President & Treasurer, Toby Nelson, will report to Mr. Kushner along with Christopher Nardone and Andrew Greenberg, both Senior Vice Presidents within Viacom’s Tax Department.
Mr. Kushner joined Viacom in June 2005 as the Company’s Vice President and General Tax Counsel. Following the split with CBS in 2006, Mr. Kushner was appointed Viacom’s Senior Vice President, Tax and International Finance. Before joining Viacom, Mr. Kushner was the Treasurer and General Tax Counsel at Young & Rubicam, Inc, a global advertising agency and marketing services company. In this position, Mr. Kushner assisted the Y&R executive team with its initial public offering and ultimate sale of the company. Prior to his time there, Mr. Kushner led the International Tax operations at PepsiCo and was an executive with Coopers & Lybrand.
Mr. Kushner graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 1981.
