Prior to entering public accounting, Goldberg was an attorney in the IRS’s National Office of Chief Counsel, where he handled consolidated return and exempt organization issues.
Goldberg received his Master of Law in taxation from Boston University and his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law. He is a member of both the New York and Massachusetts Bars.
“Walter’s background with other national tax offices and the IRS will be invaluable in providing the Grant Thornton Experience to our clients with regard to IRS matters,” said Dean Jorgensen, Grant Thornton’s National Tax Office managing partner.
