Former Tax Leader, David Cruickshank, appointed new Chairman of Deloitte UK Board of Partners
Deloitte has announced the appointment of David Cruickshank as Chairman of the UK Board of Partners, with effect from 1 June 2007. David will succeed Martin Scicluna, who steps down from the role on 31 May 2007 after serving 12 years as Chairman.
David Cruickshank (48) has spent his entire career with the firm having joined as a trainee accountant in 1979 in the firm’s Edinburgh office after graduating from the University of Edinburgh. He moved on qualification to the London office in 1982 and has specialised throughout his career in advising large corporates on their tax affairs. He became a partner in 1988 and from 1998 until 2006 he was leader of the firm’s tax practice nationally in the UK.
