MacIntyre Hudson and Moore Stephens Merge in Leicester
The MacIntyre Hudson Group announces the merger of its Leicester office with Moore Stephens Leicester, doubling the firm’s business in the area. The move closely follows a flurry of merger activity in the accountancy profession and consolidates MacIntyre Hudson’s strong position in the Midlands.
The merger sees the staff at Moore Stephens Leicester transfer to the local MacIntyre Hudson Group office, which grows to a staff of over 30, uniting two strong local offices. Graham Walne, Murray Walne, Pramod Dhruve and Robert Nelson join the incumbent Principals Ian Betteridge and Mark Faulknall at the premises in the Meridian Business Park. The combined office will service over 1000 clients in the Leicestershire area.
Dick Panter, Managing Principal at MacIntyre Hudson, comments: “This move represents a concerted effort by the MacIntyre Hudson Group to grow both organically and through M&A activity. Consolidation for a firm of our size is vital as we seek to capture some of the clients left behind by bigger mid-tier players chasing after work more traditionally associated with the Big 4.”
Graham Walne, previously Partner at Moore Stephens, comments: “The merger with a major group like MacIntyre Hudson gives our clients access to a broad array of accountancy and business advisory services that we were previously unable to offer. Given the constant regulatory change that the profession has seen of late, the extra strength offered by entering the MacIntyre Hudson Group will also help us provide access to the essential specialist services demanded by business these days.”
