Clarke Willmott lures Mary McCartney from TLT
Clarke Willmott Bristol has made a hat-trick of new appointments in one week with the recruitment of private client partner Mary McCartney. McCartney joins from Bristol firm TLT where she was head of the Tax and Estate Planning team.
The appointment follows the firm’s announcement last week (28 June) that it had recruited Greg Lovett, Property Partner at Bevan Brittan, and Oliver Smedley, property solicitor from Burges Salmon to join its Bristol office.
McCartney, recommended in Chambers 2007 as a leader in the field of Personal Trusts and Tax, brings over 20 years’ experience to the firm’s Private Client practice, which fields lawyers in each of the Clarke Willmott’s four offices.
Clarke Willmott has made significant investment in its Private Client team in 2007 with the appointment of the four-strong team from Southampton’s Moore & Blatch in May (Jessica Wiltshire, Adrian Butterworth, Lee Young and Adrian Shipwright).
Clarke Willmott managing partner David Sedgwick said: “Private capital is a key area for us and one in which we are investing in all of the regions where we are based. We’re delighted to welcome Mary and look forward to the contribution she will make to the practice in Bristol.”
