Ernst & Young UK Launches International Tax and Transfer Pricing Practice for Middle Market
Ernst & Young today announced that it has established a dedicated International Tax and Transfer Pricing practice focused on the middle market to meet the increased demand for these services as clients become more global and tax laws become increasingly complex. The team will serve principally sub FTSE 250 and AIM listed companies and large privates.
Craig McAree joined Ernst & Young as a partner to build the new team, having previously worked at the firm for 4 years. Prior to joining, Craig was UK and European Head of International Tax at Grant Thornton where he built its International Tax and Transfer Pricing business.
A number of other senior appointments have been made within the team, including Ruth Donaldson, a Senior Manager, who has joined from Ernst & Young Aberdeen. Ruth has over 14 years experience providing UK and international tax advisory services to multinational companies. In 2005 she completed the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation Advanced Diploma in International Tax and was awarded the Heather Self Gold Medal.
Craig said, “This is a very exciting time to be joining Ernst & Young’s middle market tax practice, which has enjoyed major client wins and experienced explosive growth. I’m thrilled to be part of an organisation which has such outstanding talent and an exceptional global tax network and track record. The demand for a dedicated middle market International Tax and Transfer Pricing service is incredible and therefore, this is a fantastic opportunity.”
The new practice is undertaking a significant recruitment drive which has already seen the team grow to 9 members of staff. Craig added, “We are aiming to recruit a strong group of individuals who have achieved a record of technical excellence and first class client service. Our intention is to be the UK’s leading middle market International Tax and Transfer Pricing team making this an outstanding opportunity for potential recruits.”
