Fortis Intertrust Group sells the majority of their Isle of Man activities to the management

Fortis Intertrust Group Holding S.A. has completed the sale of Fortis Intertrust (IOM) Ltd to the management team led by Steve McGowan.

Fortis Intertrust (IoM) Ltd, will be rebranded into SMP Partners Ltd with immediate effect.

Bas Schreuders, CEO of Fortis Intertrust, said: ” Fortis Intertrust, a leading provider of trust and corporate services with more than 1,100 employees in 23 countries, has chosen to widen its range of international corporate services and to stronger enhance its worldwide offering in cooperation with other Fortis entities.

Fortis Intertrust (IoM) Ltd’s service offering did not allow for a further integration into the new Fortis structure while selling to a third party would have been detrimental to both the company and its clients.”

Fortis Intertrust will retain the Fortis Yacht & Aircraft group and Fortis Intertrust’s Global I.T. department, both based in the Isle of Man, with a team of approximately 24 staff members.
