LEATHERS JOINS DYKEMA’S TAX AND ESTATE GROUP IN CHICAGO
Dykema, a premier Midwest-based law firm, today announced the addition of Wade S. Leathers to its Taxation and Estates Department. Leathers, joining the firm from Reed Smith, will be a member in the firm’s Chicago office.
Leathers focuses his practice on tax planning for corporate, partnership and real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate reorganizations, and tax controversies. He has also advised clients on tax issues associated with workouts and bankruptcies, and on the tax aspects of international transactions.
Leathers is a Certified Public Accountant in Iowa and is a member of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Tax Court, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, State Bar of Illinois, State Bar of Washington, American Bar Association and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received a J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law, and an M.A. and B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Iowa.
