Welsh Firm, Broomfield & Alexander, hires Tax Director from PKF
Professional advisors Broomfield & Alexander has completed a major restructuring of its tax department with the formal announcement of the arrival of Leighton Reed as tax director.
His presence represents a commitment by the South Wales firm to develop its tax credentials by strengthening its expertise and capacity, and he joins to head an 18-strong team which includes four new tax advisors with over 50 years’ experience between them appointed earlier this year.
Leighton joins from rival PKF, where he was head of corporate tax for South Wales and the South West, and arrives hot on the heels of former PKF colleague Mark Hislop who joined Broomfield & Alexander’s corporate finance team from the firm in June.
Leighton, aged 39, began his career at KPMG in 1989, becoming a chartered accountant in 1992 and a chartered tax adviser in 1993. As well as MBO experience, he brings to Broomfield & Alexander expertise gathered from working with blue chip clients.
