Executive Compensation and Benefits Specialist to Join London Office of WilmerHale
WilmerHale has announced the arrival of Paula Holland, an executive compensation and employment benefits specialist, as a partner in the firm’s London office.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Holland worked out of the London office of Sherman and Sterling and was instrumental in establishing the executive compensation and employment benefits practice there. Ms. Holland’s experience will further strengthen the capabilities of WilmerHale London’s growing corporate practice. Commenting on Ms. Holland’s appointment, Joe Pillman, a partner in the London Corporate Department said: “Paula is an extremely well regarded practitioner and we are delighted to have her join our team. Paula’s background and solid experience will be a tremendous asset to the group.”
With more than 12 years experience, Ms. Holland has cultivated a wide knowledge of the operation of UK, US and French equity and other executive remuneration arrangements, including best practice for UK listed companies. Ms. Holland specialises in the establishment of share incentive schemes and the impact of corporate transactions. She also advises on corporate governance issues and employment aspects of executive appointments and terminations.
Ms. Holland’s transactional experience includes dealing with share incentive aspects of full and partial takeovers, US mergers, delistings, flotations, schemes of arrangement, rights issues, demergers and private equity transactions. Her recent work includes a broad range of corporate and numerous international financial institutions.
A graduate of Lincoln College, Oxford in 1992, Ms. Holland qualified as a solicitor in the United Kingdom in 1995.
