The Cragus Group (Dubai) hires Regional Tax Manager from Shell
The Cragus Group has announced its newest arrival to their international tax team. Reggie Mezu, previously Shell’s Regional Tax Manager for the Middle East, Caspian, and South Asia, will be joining the Group from the 1st of October 2007. Alongside strategic advisers Mark Stevens, and Dr Robert Peake, Reggie will be heading the firm’s international tax advisory practice, advising multinationals both in the Middle East, particularly the Arabic Gulf, and Africa.
Reggie has over 20 years tax and legal experience, including roles in the UK, Nigeria, Singapore, The Netherlands, and the UAE; within Andersen, Price Waterhouse, and Shell. He has a wide knowledge of the oil and gas industry with extensive experience across the Middle East, US, Europe, Russia and Asia pacific, in corporate structuring, cross border transactions, joint ventures, negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, double tax treaties, reform and development of fiscal frameworks.
Education: LLM degree from the University of London (London School of Economics) and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser (UK), a Solicitor (England& Wales), a Barrister (Nigeria) and a Chartered Accountant.
