Latham & Watkins has announced that 2 tax associates have been elected to the partnership, effective January 1, 2008.

Pardis Zomorodi is a tax attorney with a focus on the federal income taxation of corporations, partnerships and real estate investment trusts, including planning and structuring mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions. She received a JD from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1997 and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 1999.

Lisa Watts is a tax attorney with a focus on corporate and partnership taxation. She has experience representing leveraged buyout and venture capital funds, investment banking companies, real estate investment trusts, foreign corporations and other public and privately owned corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies with respect to tax matters pertaining to public financings, domestic and international taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalizations and other corporate restructuring transactions. She received a JD in 1999 and an LL.M. in Taxation in 2001 from New York University School of Law.
