Bilzin Sumberg promotes Charles Shields to tax partner

The law firm of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod, LLP has announced that five of the firm’s associates will join the firm’s partnership effective January 1, 2008. The new partners include:

Charles B. Shields, Jr., Tax Group

Charles concentrates his practice in matters related to estate planning, family business planning, estate and trust administration and transactional tax planning for entities. Particular areas of emphasis include planning for developers, business owners and corporate executives. Chuck’s practice includes advice regarding federal and state estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxation, asset planning, property transfers, family limited partnerships, qualified personal residence trusts, and charitable trusts and foundations.
