Baker Botts hires Comp & Bens Partner

Felicia Finston, a well-known employee benefits and executive compensation lawyer, joined Baker Botts L.L.P. yesterday as a partner in the firm’s Tax Department. She will be based in Dallas.

Finston will enhance this practice with her experience representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Department of Labor and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in connection with employee benefit plan audits and under voluntary submission programs such as EPCRS and DFVC. Her practice regularly involves corporate transactions and governance matters, such as advising clients with respect to SEC disclosure and filing issues, shareholder approval issues and proxy disclosure requirements involving compensatory arrangements. She also regularly advises clients on health plan regulatory matters, including HIPAA compliance issue and Medicare coordination of benefit matters.

Prior to joining Baker Botts, Finston served with law firms in Texas and Arizona. Most recently she was with Vinson & Elkins in Dallas.
