RSM McGladrey taps Alan Atwell for Charlotte Office
Alan Atwell has joined the Charlotte office of the Carolinas Practice of RSM McGladrey Inc. The Carolinas Practice is led by 35 managing directors and employs over 400 individuals. Alan has nearly 20 years of professional services experience including audit, accounting and tax services. He will serve as a managing director of the tax services division for the Carolinas.
Prior to joining RSM McGladrey, Alan launched the Charlotte and Raleigh branches of an international professional services firm, leading those offices to substantial growth over a five year period. He then served in two positions as a vice president on the firm’s senior leadership team. His earlier experience includes more than 10 years serving clients at a Big Five firm, initially meeting the audit needs of clients in a variety of industries and eventually transferring to the tax division. In the tax compliance and consulting areas, he worked to utilize technology and tax process improvements to provide a higher degree of service quality and timeliness.
