Sidley Austin hires David Hinds into London Tax Practice
Sidley Austin LLP announced today that David Hinds will join the firm’s London office as a partner in the tax group. “Tax is critical to every aspect of our transactional practice here in London, which increasingly includes funds related work, encompassing both hedge funds and private equity. We are delighted that David has agreed to join us,” said Drew Scott, managing partner of Sidley’s London office and the head of the London tax group.
Michael Schmidtberger, co-head of Sidley’s global funds practice added, “David’s background and experience in funds related tax complement the other tax services provided out of London, including corporate, capital markets, finance and insolvency matters, and will enable us to provide a more comprehensive service to our global client base. Our global funds practice is recognized as a leading practice in the U.S. and Asia and we hope to expand that reputation by, in addition to hiring David, significantly enhancing our London funds depth over the coming months.”
