Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC, an affiliate of the leading independent global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has announced the promotions of 11 tax professionals to the position of managing director.  The moves underscore the increasing demand for tax advisory services that are free from the conflicts of interest facing Big Four firms as well as the premium placed on senior professionals who directly service and create significant value for clients.”Within just a few short years, Alvarez & Marsal Taxand has established an outstanding reputation for providing sophisticated and objective advice on complex local, state, federal and international tax issues in a way that has a meaningful impact on a company’s operations,” said Robert N. Lowe, Jr., CEO of A&M Taxand. “One of the key ways we have been able to do this is by attracting deeply experienced, top-tier professionals who have built impressive careers by servicing clients and making a real difference in their clients’ businesses – not by serving as a partner in an administrative capacity, which seems to have become all too common. We are committed to not only recognizing the efforts of these talented client service professionals, but rewarding them through advancement and compensation that is commensurate with the value they’re providing to their clients.”
