Cleco Corp names Charles Mannix as VP Tax
Cleco Corp. (NYSE: CNL) has named Charles A. Mannix vice president of tax and treasurer.Mannix, 49, comes to Cleco with more than 25 years of tax and financial accounting experience. He has been working in the energy sector for the past 19 years and most recently served as manager of income taxes for Ameren Corp.
Prior to working at Ameren, Mannix served as director of taxes and tax planning at Exelon Generation Company, LLC and manager of taxes for Conectiv, the parent company of Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric.
Mannix, a certified public accountant and an attorney, holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pa., and a juris doctorate from Widener School of Law in Wilmington, Del. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
“Chuck will oversee the tax department, ensure there is adequate cash flow to fund Cleco’s operating goals, and manage our financial risks in the banking industry,” Senior Vice President and CFO Kathleen Nolen said. “Having someone with Chuck’s experience on our team will be an asset as we continue to safeguard Cleco’s balance sheet while executing our growth strategy.”
